Story

Raspberry Facts

Raspberries, both wild and cultivated, grow in abundance locally in Bulgaria. The fruits contain a big range of healthy substances, antioxidants and bioflavonoids well known for their health properties. Ellagic acid, quercetin and anthocyanin are all part of the long list. Even the leaves of this exceptional plant are used as a valuable ingredient in tea preparation.

The shape and colour of raspberry seeds is similar to that of sesame seeds. Of course the seeds contain all the goodness of the plant, all those special substances. In order to extract 100 ml of oil we need around 15 kg of fresh raspberries.

About SEVOA and the Raspberry seed oil

We make many different kinds of oils but the raspberry seed oil has some of the most interesting properties – UV protection and skin collagen maintenance. However there are no raspberry processing companies locally hence we get our seed supply from other parts of Europe.
